[Employees] How to upload and download documents

As an employee, all documents you upload during your onboarding can be found in the Files tab. Over time, you may need to share a document with us or vice-versa, and rather than doing this via email, you can do it directly in your Remote account.

Important: If you upload a document that could affect your payroll in any way, you need to inform us so we can make sure this is processed accordingly.

To upload a file on Remote:

  1. Go to Files.
  2. Click Add file.
  3. Drag the file in the Upload files box or click to upload the document.
  4. From the drop-down menu next to the file name, select Personal, Tax, or Contract to categorize the type of file appropriately. 
  5. Click Add files.

To download a document on Remote:

  1. Go to Files.
  2. Locate the specific file in the Documents list.
  3. At the end of the file's row, click the > (chevron) icon to open the file. Clicking the chevron is the action that opens the file. You can also click the document name to open it.
  4. On the File Preview page, click Download to save the file to your device.
     
    Tip: If you do not see a Download option, make sure you opened the file by clicking the > at the end of the row (or the document name). The download button only appears on the File Preview page.
