The Data Exports tab gives you one central place to view and download all reports your company has generated.

Instead of reports disappearing after download, each export is logged so you can access it again later.

What is the data exports tab?

The Data Exports tab is an audit log of all report exports created by your company.

For each export, you can see:

  • The report name
  • Who created it
  • When it was generated
  • A download option

This helps you avoid recreating the same report and improves visibility across your admin team.

When to use the data exports tab

Use the Data Exports tab when you want to:

  • Re-download a report
If a report was already generated, you can download it again without creating a new version.

  • Check who created a report
You can see which admin generated the export and when it was created. This improves transparency across your team.

  • Generate a report from a template
If you use custom report templates, you can generate a new export directly from the Data Exports tab.

This is especially helpful for Remote Payroll customers who use custom payroll reports.

How exports appear in the data exports tab

There are two ways exports are added.

If you generate a report from the Reports page:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Generate your report as usual.

The file downloads, and a copy is automatically saved in the Data Exports tab.

Each time a report is generated, a new entry appears.

If you generate a report from the Data Exports tab:

  1. Go to the Data Exports tab.
  2. Choose a template.
  3. Generate and download the report.

The export is saved in the same list.

💡 The Reports page is mainly for creating reports. The Data Exports tab is for tracking and re-downloading them.
