How to request contract amendments for multiple employees at once?

On Remote, you can request amendments to multiple employee contracts in a single request. This can be done for the following fields: 

  • Job title
  • Role description
  • Annual salary
  • Reason for change
  • Reason for salary decrease (Only enabled if there is a salary decrease)
  • Effective date of change
  • Additional comments
Please note that the cut-off date for all contract amendment requests is the 5th of every month.

How to request bulk contract amendments

  1. On the Remote platform, Select Team < Team Overview page. Then on the top right corner select the Bulk data edits. From the dropdown menu, click on Edit Employee data.

  2. Select which entity the employees are associated with:
    1. Remote's Entity
    2. My company's entity

  3. Select employees whose contracts you'd like to amend and then, scroll down and click on Edit # contract. You have the option to edit them on the platform or download the standard CSV template with pre-filled employee details and later re-upload.

  4. If you choose to Edit on platform: You will be taken to a page where you can make changes to specific fields.
    1. Once you've made the changes, click on Continue to submit the changes or Save as draft to save the changes and submit them later.
  5. If you choose to Upload the CSV: update contract details in the CSV file, adhering to formatting rules (e.g., date format, numeric salary values).
  6. Review and correct any errors identified during the validation process using the inline editor then you can re-upload a CSV file.
  7. If you decide to save the changes, you can later access the amendments from the History of bulk amendments page
  8. Once ready, submit the changes for processing. A summary of updates is provided before and upon completion.
  9. You can track the amendment status through the History of bulk amendments page, accessible from the Team Overview page.
